Barberini Soundscapes: Listening to Landscapes
How do we experience the art of the Impressionists while listening to landscapes? With Barberini Soundscapes you can take an acoustic journey through the landscape motifs found in Impressionist works of art accompanied by quotes that allow the artists and their contemporaries to speak for themselves.

The audio program was developed by Ingo Colbow. For the past twenty years, Ingo has been capturing the sounds of landscapes with various microphones. His impressive acoustic archive provides material for radio, audio guides, and sound installations.

Following the Barberini Soundscapes we will go from listening to motion: We would like to invite you to an hour of movement in the auditorium. Under the direction of Elke Schmid we will hold an interactive performance on foot. Please notify us in advance if you plan to attend the performance: info@museum-barberini.com

About Barberini After Five
With Barberini After Five, the Museum Barberini is bringing a program for visitors under 35 to Germany. We offer tours, eye-to-eye discussions, and a place to enjoy art in a relaxing atmosphere. Get ready for an exciting program filled with music and art.

We were inspired by a visit to The Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., which launched a sophisticated program of events with Phillips After 5. The Museum Barberini is also working with the collection on its show From Hopper to Rothko: America’s Road to Modern Art, which will be on display in the summer of 2017.
